1. Marine Conservation & Ecosystem Protection
- Direct Contribution: A percentage of every charter fee is donated directly to our verified conservation partners, including the Komodo Survival Program and the Raja Ampat Marine Park Authority. This provides stable funding for patrols, research, and community outreach.
- Active Guest Engagement: We offer our guests opportunities to participate in meaningful conservation science, such as photo-identification of manta rays for the Manta Trust database or participating in coral planting initiatives with the Indonesian Coral Reef Foundation (TERANGI).
- Reef-Safe Operations: We mandate that all yachts in our portfolio use only reef-safe sunscreens, biodegradable cleaning products, and adhere to strict no-anchor policies in sensitive coral areas, utilizing designated mooring buoys.
2. Carbon Footprint Reduction & Offsetting
- Fuel Efficiency Standards: We favor vessels that have invested in modern, fuel-efficient engines and practice responsible cruising speeds to minimize consumption.
- Carbon Offsetting Program: We have partnered with a VERRA-certified Indonesian organization to meticulously calculate the carbon footprint of each charter. We then invest in certified carbon offset projects, such as the Katingan Mentaya Project for peatland restoration in Kalimantan, to render every voyage carbon-neutral.
3. Waste Management & Plastic Reduction
- Zero Single-Use Plastics: Every yacht in our portfolio is contractually obligated to be free of single-use plastic water bottles. They must have high-capacity water filtration systems for guests and crew. We also enforce strict policies against plastic straws, bags, and single-use amenities.
- Comprehensive Waste Management: All vessels must have a robust waste separation and management plan. No waste is ever discharged into the sea. All refuse is properly sorted and disposed of at designated port facilities.
4. Community Empowerment & Cultural Preservation
- Local Employment Priority: We enforce a policy that over 90% of crew members on our partner vessels must be Indonesian citizens. We strongly encourage and favor partners who hire and train staff from the local communities in their primary cruising areas, such as Flores, the Alor archipelago, and West Papua.
- Sustainable Local Sourcing: Our chefs are encouraged to source fresh produce, fish, and spices from local markets and sustainable farms along the route. This not only provides a fresher, more authentic culinary experience but also directly supports local economies.
- Respectful Cultural Engagement: We work with local guides to facilitate respectful and authentic interactions with traditional communities, such as the weavers of Sumba or the pearl farmers of Alor. We ensure that a portion of the proceeds from these visits directly benefits the community’s development funds.
